Versailles Poultry Days
The Poultry Days Social Tent Schedules Rocks!

Poultry Days 2016 will continue the largest party in the area with an incredible lineup of musicians.  Nine live musical acts offer sounds ranging from familiar festival tunes, to alternative rock, to popular country.  With a Social Tent that can hold 2,000 people you can choose to be up front by the music or at a quiet table by the craft bar.  If you want to be in the sunshine or under the stars, table seating has been further expanded to 350.

Each year the board works to improve our festival and for 2016 we have a few changes to announce to the social tent.  The Social Tent will continue to offer Bud Light and Busch Light.  Over the winter Poultry Days added MillerCoors products to the Social Tent and MillerCoors is also sponsoring the tent.  These beverages will be added to our existing Anheuser-Busch products and wines from The Winery at Versailles.  Bud Light and Busch Light will be joined by Miller Lite, Coors Light, Miller 64, Yuengling and many more.  The Winery at Versailles will be returning to the festival for the fourth year with a selection including dry, semi-dry, semi-sweet, sweet, sparkling and more!  Cabernet Franc, Riesling, Rosatto Muscatto, Rodeo Red, Wedding White, Summer Days, Peach Mist, and sangria.  Ten years ago we offered two beverages and 5 bands in the Social Tent.  In 2016 we will offer over 20 different types of beer, ale, cider, wine and 9 bands to make your Poultry Days more enjoyable.

Friday, June 10th 3:00-4:00, Danny Schneible , a guitarist, singer/songwriter, originally from the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, now living in Houston Ohio has been playing music professionally for the past 15 years. He performs at several local establishments, festivals and private events throughout the area, as well as in his hometown in Virginia.  Danny's folk/rock music influence sounds its way through his covers of well known artists, such as James Taylor, Jim Croce, Jason Mraz and John Denver, just to name a few. Danny's shows are described as "Awesome," "Epic" and "Lit".  But when it comes down to it, he simply loves to perform, and to get great songs stuck in people's heads.  4:30-7:00, The MicStand Band - Making their third appearance at Poultry Days is the acoustic duo of Mike and Stan McClurg.  Two brothers who got their start playing in back yards effortlessly blend a selection of Country and Classic Rock into a style all their own.  7:30-11:30, Saw Creek – Led by experienced musician Steve Rosenbeck, along with his son Zach and two nephews Jared and Jesse Ranly. This country music band specializes in Classic and Top 40 Country music by the likes of Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Kenney Chesney and many more. They have played in Nashville, Toby Keith's bar and grill, and have opened for artists Dylan Scott and Clark Manson.

Saturday, June 11th 1:00-4:30, Higgins-Madewell Voted “Best Local Rock Band” by ActiveDayton.com three years in a row, this dynamic duo has been wowing audiences since they began performing together in 2006.  Higgins-Madewell’s versatility, professionalism, dedication, and genuine love for the audience is very apparent.  Hippie Country that rocks!  From cover songs to breathtaking original music, a performance by Erin Higgins and Jeff Madewell will leave you in awe.  5:00-7:00, On The Radar –  On the Radar is excited to perform for their fifth consecutive year at Versailles Poultry Days! This upbeat band plays a wide range of songs from today’s hits to classic rock and country. On the Radar consists of Isaac Buschur, Mason DeMange and Mitchell Rawlins. These members are recent graduates of Versailles High School where they have excelled with great passion in various music concerts and productions with aspirations of continuing in the entertainment field.  7:30-11:30, Eight Ball – 8-Ball has been adding new tunes to step things up a notch from last year’s spectacular performance!  Their individual musical talents run deep but when their powers combine, it’s an incredible sound.  A Versailles-based band who won the Dayton Battle of the Bands in one of their first appearances.  This group started out with Classic Rock and “Big Hair Band” rock.  They soon expanded into popular grunge music other bands would not attempt to play.  Today, 8-Ball plays grunge, new rock, and older rock songs with a new dated sound.  A dynamic lead singer and powerful guitar backed by inspiring drums and bass, they are guaranteed to impress.

Sunday, June 12th 1:00-3:00, Mark Cantwil – Singer.  Songwriter.  Musician.  Multi-talented hometown favorite, this recognized solo artist and songwriter brings an incredible lineup of original music from his two solo albums “Diggin’ On You” and “Last Chance Johnny” as well as some crowd-pleasing cover songs.  Mark has opened up for National and Regional acts such as Sister Hazel, The Bacon Brothers, Chris Knight, John Moreland, Molly Hatchet, Wil Nance, Dan DeMay, Chris Cavanaugh, Greg Buroughs, Corey Cox and Clark Manson.  3:30-6:00, Taylor Huffman and Bryant Ahrens – Lead vocalist Taylor Huffman and guitarist Bryant Ahrens, are both graduates of Versailles, Ohio. After getting a start by winning the 2013 Country Concert USA Karaoke Contest, Taylor teamed up with Bryant creating an acoustic country duo.  Since then, they've played for several venues, festivals and bars in Dayton and the surrounding area.  Singing acoustic covers of your favorite country songs, they will surely have you entertained!  6:30-10:30, Empty Tank – Empty Tank is one of the area's premier party bands! For over 13 years, this local group has performed a wide variety of hits spanning from yesteryear's classics through today's top songs.  Members include Tyler DeMange and Matt Meyer of Versailles, Aaron Miller of Coldwater, and Andy Klosterman of St. Marys. With gigs spanning out to Columbus at Ohio State, this band primarily plays in the quad-county area at local bars, weddings, festivals, and dances. In recent years, Empty Tank was featured at the Versailles High School All-Class Reunions and numerous Poultry Days.
