Greenville City Schools
GCSD to hold K-8 Facility Dedication Ceremony and Open House

The Greenville City School District will be holding a K-8 Facility Dedication on Sunday, February 26, 2017.  The ceremony will begin at 2:00 p.m. with an open house until 5:30 following the ceremony.

There will be overflow parking with a shuttle bus available throughout the day from Trinity Wesleyan Church, Rest Haven Nursing Home, American Legion and VFW.

Voters approved a levy for a refurbished senior high school and a new K-8 building in 2013. Construction began in 2014. The high school work was completed in 2015. Three open houses at the high school wrapped up in a two-day event Oct. 31-Nov. 1.

The K-8 facility was completed over the 2016-17 Christmas break, with tours given to parents just prior to children returning to school Jan. 12. A ribbon cutting was held the first day of school. The Dedication Ceremony and Open House will be the culmination of four years of effort and community support.
