Pumpkins will line the steps of the Darke County Courthouse for Main Street Greenville’s
Pumpkin Giveaway during A Day of Harvest.
  
October events bring Autumn to Downtown Greenville

GREENVILLE, Ohio- Fall has arrived in downtown Greenville with the October First Friday event and the annual A Day of Harvest event, held on Friday, October 6th and Saturday, October 7th.
 
Overflow your senses with fall favorites found in downtown Greenville! Be sure to check out all of the fall inspired items in the quaint shops and restaurants; including unique home decor, cozy fall fashions, and delicious autumn flavors!

During the First Friday event, musicians will perform in several locations throughout the downtown district. Some will be hosted inside businesses and some will be hosted outside, weather permitting. If there is a chance of inclement weather, the musicians will all be moved inside.

Entertainment will include: Spittin' Image at Readmore’s Hallmark, Diane Hart at The Merchant House (6 - 8 pm), Noah Back at The Bistro Off Broadway, Chelsea & John Whirledge at The Coffee Pot, Nicole Stewart at The Cozy Nest, FHMCC House Band at First Heavy Metal Church of Christ, Star 88.9 Radio at Bread of Life Bookstore, Michael Wells at The Don's Pizza, Noah McCabe at Chillz Frozen Yogurt, and more!
 
The October First Friday event is kindly sponsored by Second National Bank. Main Street Greenville invites everyone to make reservations to eat dinner downtown from 6-7 pm, and stay for the music performances from 7-9 pm (unless stated otherwise). In addition, many businesses will stay open late for shopping!
 
Then head back downtown the next morning for A Day of Harvest! An array of autumn activities are planned to tempt everyone’s interest. The schedule of for the day includes the following:

9 am - Chocolate Walk Tickets go on sale at The Darke County Welcome Center

9 am - 1 pm - Downtown Greenville Farmers’ Market - in front of the courthouse

9 am - until gone - Pumpkin Giveaway - for every $25 spent downtown that day, sponsored by Aultman Farms

10 am - 12 pm - Applesauce samples - located in front of KitchenAid Experience

10 am - 4 pm - Needle in a Haystack Contest - Find the golden needle at participating businesses and get a special prize! Ticket Required.

11 am - 1 pm - Sidewalk Chalk & Autumn Inspired Children’s Crafts - located on W. 3rd St.

11:30 am - Children’s Story Time - located on W. 3rd St.
