Was anyone really mad at the school board?
By Bob Rhoades

The firing of the coaches by the City School Board caused an eruption of sentiment that ranged from support, to get rid of all of them.  I wrote on this site after it happened and offered a couple of solutions for the problem of dealing with this board.  There was a recall petition of all of the board.  That is a simple matter; all it takes is identifying the act that would warrant the recall, getting the petition signed by the correct number of people and then having it placed on the ballot.  I haven’t heard of that happening yet and it probably won’t happen. Then there... Read More. More Opinion.

Who’s Irresponsible?
By Mona Charen

Count on it: In the coming days and weeks, Republicans will be accused -- not just by Democrats, but by the chattering class that includes some self-styled conservatives -- of wild irresponsibility regarding the nation’s fiscal health. It isn’t that Republicans are models of rectitude on the subject -- see the Bush deficits. And it’s true that some Republicans, like Americans... Read More. More Blogs.

Colleges collect less from credit card deals
by Ginger Christ

Credit card companies paid U.S. colleges less money last year for allowing them to market to students on campus. In 2010, credit card issuers paid $73 million to colleges through marketing agreements, down 14 percent from $85 million in 2009, according to a Federal Reserve report. And only 1,004 institutions had... Read More. More News.

America’s Financial Restoration vs. Obama’s Ideology
By David Limbaugh

There is an overarching reason we can’t move toward a balanced budget, which underscores why we face ongoing stalemates over debt ceilings and continuing resolutions: President Obama doesn’t want to balance the budget. I don’t say this out of extremism or to be gratuitously controversial

The Expanding Catalogue of Obamacare Fables
by Michelle Malkin

Is there a health insurance horror story disseminated by the White House and its allies that ever turned out to be true? Obamacare advocates have exercised more artistic license than a convention of Photoshoppers. Now, a prominent sob story shilled by President Obama himself about his own mother is in doubt. It’s high past time to
