 VFW hosts annual Americanism Banquet
 By Al Bliss, Senior Scribe

The report of a banquet is normally unemotional, objective, and filled with expected facts blandly describing the event. An apology is offered now for any deviation from the expected report. The primary reason for the Americanism Banquet is to recognize and present awards to the youth who successfully competed in the VFW’s Patriot’s Pen and Voice of Democracy Contests. Other awards are... Read More. More Community.

Now that the conjecture is over regarding whether or not Wave A.D. T.J. Powers is actually going to resign, the conjecture is going to start over “why?” Didn’t he just sign a 2-year contract? That’s what CNO was told Sunday. It is sad. Powers has done a good job. He’s a GHS Alumnus. Yet he is reportedly heading to Arcanum. Greenville’s loss is Arcanum’s gain. Best of luck, T.J.
