Despite overwhelming public support for the company’s plan to move Village Green from its current land-locked location on Chestnut Street to 6.41 acres, vacant for years, at Russ Road and Hwy 121, a motion to prepare legislation for it barely passed. It took a “yea” vote by Council President John... Read More. More Opinion.

What Patriots Can Learn to Do
by Bob Beauprez

It seems that virtually everyone agrees that the upcoming election in November is the most important in our lifetimes. And, while many people do engage in supporting candidates, the vast majority of citizens remain on the sidelines. Somehow it’s hard for me to digest the potential loss of an $8 mil project and 50 plus high-paying jobs. Also in Blogs: Small business may eliminate jobs in 2012. Events: Win a Harley. News: Motorcycyle-Pickup accident near Ansonia; Obama sues Husted. Sports: MLB standings, July 22; Penn State penalties to be severe; Reds win again. Obituaries: John Robert “Bob” Hahn.
