I was in Sidney today, one of four Best of Round judges for the Power of the Pen Regional Tournament. Imagine writing a narrative based on the word “Outnumbered,” or the question “Why is there no picture in the empty gold frame?” or “Obsessed… with what?” Seventh and eighth graders did… with humor, drama and a few tears here and there.
