Monday, August 1, 2011 

         Gov. John R. Kasich swore in Christiane Schmenk as the Director of the Ohio Department of Development. 

         Kasich appointed G. Scott Drew, DO to the Marion Technical College Board of Trustees. 

Tuesday, August 2, 2011 

         Kasich joined executives of the Anderson-DuBose Company in Lordstown for a public groundbreaking ceremony at the site of the company’s new $34 million distribution center and headquarters. 

         First Lady Karen W. Kasich participated in “Brunch, Baseball and Books,” hosted by the Ohio Academy of Pediatrics Foundation at Huntington Park in Columbus. 

Wednesday, August 3, 2011 

         Kasich issued a statement offering his condolences upon the passing of former southern Ohio congressman Clarence Miller. 

         Kasich appointed Amy Sabath and Elizabeth D. Vaci to the State Lottery Commission, Harvey L. Glick to the Banking Commission, and Elise Spriggs to the Clark State Community College Board of Trustees.

Thursday, August 4, 2011 

         Kasich joined Wendy’s executives in Dublin to announce that the company will return its corporate headquarters to Dublin and move 50 jobs to Ohio from Georgia. 

         Kasich convened the first meeting of the 2011 Board of Apportioning Persons in the Senate Finance Hearing Room of the Ohio Statehouse. 

         Mrs. Kasich hosted First Lady’s Day at the Ohio State Fair, joining fairgoers for several events highlighting women in agriculture, wellness and fitness. 

Friday, August 5, 2011 

         Kasich appointed Mark A. Totman to the Ohio Housing Finance Agency, Elizabeth E. Tracy to the Ohio Board of Speech Language Pathology and Audiology, and Michael G. Verich to the State Lottery Commission. 

         Lt. Gov. Mary Taylor joined Pro Football Hall of Fame officials and members in Canton for the groundbreaking of the Hall of Fame’s Fortune 50 expansion program.
