Cincinnati casino breaking ground Feb. 4
Friday, January 28, 2011

The Harrah’s casino in downtown Cincinnati is planned for the area of town known as Broadway Commons.

Developers of the new Cincinnati casino will break ground next week.

Rock Gaming CEO Dan Gilbert and Caesars Entertainment CEO Gary Loveman will be there for the event Feb. 4 and will share new details about the development, according to a news release.

Local, county and state officials will be there, too.

The event is invitation only because of limited seating in the heated, enclosed temporary structure where the ground breaking will be held.

The casino will be built just north of downtown Cincinnati on the site known as Broadway Commons. Developers have estimated the project’s total cost at $400 million and expect it to be finished by the end of 2012.
