Cleveland Plain Dealer...
District-shopping Rep. Dennis Kucinich to visit Seattle again in July

By Sabrina Eaton, The Plain Dealer

Cleveland Democratic Rep. Dennis Kucinich, who has discussed running for Congress in Washington state if his current Ohio district is eliminated, will make another trip to Seattle on July 9, according to the Northwest Progressive Institute. He will address the 2011 NWroots Conference, the group says.

Kucinich has said he’s contemplating running for office in other states because his district will face significant alterations when Ohio’s legislature redraws it this year. Ohio will lose two congressional seats because its population growth hasn’t kept up with other states, while Washington will gain a seat.

Kucinich has visited Washington state several times this year and discussed running for office there, though he says he’s made no decisions about his political future. He confirmed that he’ll visit Seattle in July.

“I had several invitations and I accepted one,” Kucinich said.
