Gov. John R. Kasich reappointed Bill W. Dingus to serve as a member of the Transportation Review Advisory Council and appointed Donald Edward Franks to serve as a member of the Ohio Ethics Commission. 

Kasich sent a letter to President Obama urging him to announce approval in his Thursday speech of a loan guarantee for the proposed new Piketon uranium enrichment facility. 

Lt. Gov. Mary Taylor spoke at PR Machine Works in Richland County and to the Crawford County Economic Development Partnership about the federal healthcare law and regulatory reform. 

Wednesday, September 7, 2011 

Kasich spoke at the Harvard Club of Northeast Ohio where he discussed the budget, SB 5 and additional efforts to foster job creation in Ohio.

Kasich and key members of the administration visited Zanesville and held a public meeting with residents and officials about shale gas’s potential economic benefit to the region. 

Kasich appointed Geoffrey A. Phillips to serve as a member of the Ohio Cultural Facilities Commission and appointed Richard F. Kolezynski to serve as a member of the State Board of Pharmacy. 

Thursday, September 8, 2011 

Kasich appointed Lawrence J. Kidd to serve as a member of the Board of Directors of JobsOhio. 

Kasich appointed Michael H. Keenan to serve as a member of the Ohio Air Quality Development Authority. 

Taylor authored column on Obamacare’s impact on Ohio that will result in fewer choices and higher healthcare costs. 

Friday, September 9, 2011 

Kasich and Taylor, first responders, administration officials, and local officials commemorated the tenth anniversary of 9/11 at a ceremony at the Ohio Statehouse. 

Kasich issued a proclamation commemorating 9/11. 

Kasich appointed Senator Tim Grendell to the Geauga County Court of Common Pleas. 

Kasich appointed Dale H. Fellows to serve as a member of the Ohio Business Gateway Steering Committee.
