‘Get the Carp Outta Here’ fishing tournament GLSM

GRAND LAKE ST. MARYS, Ohio — The second annual “Get the Carp Outta Here” fishing tournament is underway this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 18,19 and 20. 

Three-thousand dollars in  prize money will be given away. 

Last year the tornament was the first weekend in June. It was scheduled for earlier this year. 

In 2011 four-tons of carp were taken from the lake by tournament participants, according to Donna Grube, director of the Auglaize-Mercer County Visitors and Convention Bureau. 

Check-in and check-out stations will be set-up at the East Bank at shelter #1, and West Bank in the area of the boat launch.
