Motorcyclist transported by CareFlight, serious condition 

On April 7, 2013 at approximately 7:16 PM Darke County Deputies, along with Tri Village Rescue, Hollansburg Fire and CareFlight were dispatched to the 1300 Block of Hollansburg-Richmond Road in reference to an injury accident involving a motorcycle.  

Preliminary investigation revealed a 2001 Suzuki motorcycle driven by Paul V. Burns, 26, Richmond Indiana was south bound on Hollansburg-Richmond Road.  Burns passed another south bound motorcycle at a high rate of speed, Burns lost control of his motorcycle on the road side and was ejected.  Burns was not wearing a helmet and was the only occupant on the motorcycle. 

Paul V. Burns was transported to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight.  Burns is listed in serious condition at this time.       

This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
