Osgood resident missing, found dead

Celina, Ohio:  Mercer County Sheriff Grey reports his Office received a call on Saturday April 13, 2013 at 2:09 AM from a third party caller.  The caller reported a male had reportedly ingested some sort of powder, became paranoid and crawled out a window wearing only boxer shorts and a T-shirt and ran away.  The third party caller also indicated over two hours had passed before she received a call from the person who last saw the male.  The female who last saw the male was identified as Shannon Rockwood, age 33, of lot 563 in Hechts Landing (8483 State Route 219).
 
Deputies responded to the area and arrived at 2:33 AM.  Deputies searched the area for over two hours and they were not able to locate the subject.
 
Deputies responded to the area again on Saturday after the subject’s shirt was found across from a channel behind the trailer where the subject crawled out the window. The area was again searched. Deputies were assisted by ODNR, Division of Parks and Division of Watercraft.  A sonar unit was used in the channel and nothing was found.
 
On Sunday April 14, 2013 at 9:25 AM, the Sheriff’s Office received a call that the body of the missing subject was found in a field approximately a quarter a mile east of Hechts Landing, 200 to 300 yards north off of  State Route 219.  The male was found in the field deceased wearing only boxer shorts.
 
The missing person was identified as Thomas A. Williams, age 42, last known address of 37 Washington Street, Osgood Ohio.
 
The body was transported to Montgomery County Coroner’s Office for an autopsy.
 
The incident remains under investigation.
