Juveniles injured in rollover accident
At 6:18pm, November 30th, 2013, Darke County Sheriff’s Office received
a 911 call of a one vehicle rollover on Otterbein Ithaca Rd. near
Gordon Landis Rd. Darke County Deputies, along with Arcanum Fire,
Arcanum Rescue, Careflight and Greenville Rescue were all dispatched to
the scene.
Preliminary investigation revealed a red 2000 Ford SUV, occupied by 2
juveniles and 1 adult, was traveling westbound on Otterbein Ithaca Rd.
The vehicle drove off the right (north) side of the roadway, jumping
over a 30 ft. creek bed and rolling multiple times. Excessive speed may
be a factor in this accident.
One juvenile was transported by Careflight to Miami Valley where he is
listed in fair condition. The other two occupants were transported,
both by Arcanum Rescue, one to Wayne Hospital and the other to Miami
Valley Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
This accident remains under investigation.
