Top high schools with best SAT scores in Dayton region 

Darke County Schools, by ranking: Versailles 9, Arcanum 30, Franklin Monroe 37, Greenville 63 and Ansonia 64

If you ever wondered which high schools in the Dayton region have the smartest students, you're not alone. The high school is among the most important of all the school levels for preparing a student for college; and knowing which schools have students that are the best prepared for higher education is critical for parents. 

The good news is there are a lot of great high schools in the region.

In fact, two Dayton-area high schools have been ranked in top 1,000 nationwide by Newsweek magazine: Oakwood High School (No. 195) and Bellbrook High School (No. 577). 

But those rankings are based on a variety of factors, and neither of those two scores are No. 1 in the region for highest SAT scores. In fact, neither of those two schools are even in the Top 10 for SAT scores locally. 

So we decided to take a look at the top high schools in the Miami Valley based on SAT scores, which is of course all-important when it comes to getting into the right college or university. 

Please look at these schools and use them however you see fit, but realize that ultimately there is more to a school than one set of test scores. Let us know in the comments section what you think would be other types of information you would like to know about schools in the region.
