Rollover Accident
On
March 25, 2013 at 8:20 PM Darke County
Deputies were dispatched to the area of New Weston Ft. Loramie Road and
Hillgrove Ft. Recovery Road on the report of a semi on it's side.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the driver, Patrick
W. Moore Jr.,
49 of Arkansas, was eastbound on New Weston Ft. Loramie Road when he
drove off
the right side of the roadway and was pulled further by the deep snow.
The
2006 Freightliner and trailer, which was
loaded with eggs, rolled over onto its side. Moore, who was
the lone
occupant, was not injured in the crash. Alcohol may have been
a factor in
the crash. Southwest Mercer Fire Dept. was called to the
scene for
preventive measures.
The
accident remains under investigation by the
Darke County Sheriff's Office.
