Injury accident at Wayne Lakes

WAYNE LAKES - On January 4, 2014 at 0939 am Darke County Deputies along with Tri-Village Rescue, New Madison Fire Department and Careflight responded to a single vehicle injury accident with entrapment in the 3300 Block of State Route 121 south of Main Drive, Wayne Lakes.

Preliminary investigation revealed a Black 1997 Oldsmobile Bravada was traveling north bound on State Route 121 lost control on the snow and ice covered roadway going off the right side of the roadway and striking a tree. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Lisa Hummel of Greenville, Ohio. Hummel was treated at the scene by Tri-Village Rescue and Transport to Miami Valley Hospital by Careflight with unknown injuries at this time.

Investigation remains under investigation by Darke County Sheriff's Office.
