Darke County
Man Arrested in Meth Bust
On November 5, 2014, the Darke County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit
executed a search warrant at 503 Beamsville-Union City Road, lot 29,
Union City, Ohio. Rickie Hess, Jr. (40) of Union City was
taken into custody without incident and is currently being housed at
the Darke County Jail where he awaits formal charges of Trafficking in
Drugs, Possession of Drugs and Illegal Assembly of Chemicals for the
Manufacture of Drugs.
The search warrant produced methamphetamine packaged for sale, drug
paraphernalia and items indicative of the manufacturing of
methamphetamine. Evidence at the scene suggests that
methamphetamine had been produced on the premises.
Sheriff Toby L. Spencer takes a strong stand against the illegal
manufacturing of methamphetamine, due to the extreme hazards to the
