13-year-old
injured in tractor accident
On October 11, 2014 at approximately 9:33 PM Darke County Deputies,
along with New Madison Fire, Tri Village Rescue and CareFlight were
dispatched to Arrowhead Campgrounds at 1361 Thomas Road in reference to
an injury accident.
Preliminary investigation revealed a Kubota tractor driven by Pat
McClellan, 60, of New Paris was pulling a trailer for a hayride through
the campgrounds when Reagan Schommer, 13, of Englewood ran out behind a
camper to scare the passengers on the hayride. Reagan slipped and
was run over by the trailer.
Reagan was transported to Miami Valley Hospital by Careflight with
non-life threatening injuries.
