22-year-old
male arrested at 15-year-old girl’s home
Sheriff Jeff Grey reports the arrest of a 22 year old male after he
arranged and traveled to a rural Rockford area home to meet a 15 year
old female for sex. The male was arrested at the home of the
female on September 7 at 12:30 AM. Arrested for criminal trespass
and possession of marijuana was John T. McDermitt of Leona Street,
Celina. McDermitt is currently incarcerated on a $100,000.00 bond
in the Mercer County Adult Detention Facility. Deputies expect
further charges to be filed after review by the Prosecutor’s Office
that include felony charges of importuning.
