Ohio among
least happiest states in America
Sep 25, 2014
Ohio needs to watch a Will Ferrell movie so they can smile more.
Currently, Ohioans are not very happy, at least compared to most of the
country. The Buckeye State ranked in the bottom 10 in WalletHub’s 2014
Most and Least Happy States in America study.
It ranked states based on factors such as emotional and physical
health; work; and community, environment and recreational activities.
The study evaluated states based on 26 metrics traditionally considered
factors of happiness, including the satisfaction index, physical health
index, adequate sleep, emotional health index, income growth and more.
Ohio ranked No. 44 out of 51 states, plus Washington, D.C. It scored
the best (No. 24 out of 51) for work, but got dinged for emotional and
physical-well being.
The top-ranked state was Utah, while last place went to West Virginia.
