Robbins, 19, Greenville’s newest firefighter

GREENVILLE –Levi Robbins, 19, Greenville Fire Department’s newest – and youngest – firefighter took his oath April 9 in the Greenville City Council Room. Coming to the department with two years experience as a volunteer with the Pleasant Hill Fire Department, Chief Mark Wolf said he would be moving to A Shift to fill the spot created when Capt. Jeff Dohme retired.

“He did quite well (on his tests),” Wolf said, “especially for his age… extremely well. That’s unusual.” Will he be Wolf’s replacement when the Chief retires? “Somebody will,” Wolf responded. “He’d have to be ready in two to four years.”

Robbins said he decided to make a career as a firefighter after he started volunteering at Pleasant Hill...
