High school to
be ready for student Day 1
GREENVILLE – Will the high school be finished by start of school?
Greenville City Schools Superintendent Doug Fries leaned back and
smiled. “We believe so,” he said. Construction people gone? “We will
have building occupancy,” he responded.
Notably pleased with how well work had gone on the high school remodel,
Fries added “as with any major project, we will have ‘punch list’
items, moving items but the project will have been completed.” He noted
work on things like keys, fobs (electronic ‘keys’), lockers and other
items will be continuing.
“These are the typical things that come up at the end of a project,” he
said. “Everyone will just have to look at the big picture… patience as
you get through the final move-in procedures. He noted it was like
moving into a new house. There are always things to get done at the
last minute...
