Aggravated
Robbery suspect arrested
Sheriff Jeff Grey reports that his office is investigating a Robbery
that occurred on December 1st, 2015 at around 2:00 PM. The
victim and suspect are acquainted with each other. The suspect
approached the victim at his residence, pointed a gun at him and
demanded money. The Sheriff’s Office applied for and
received a search and arrest warrant for the suspect and his
residence. Detectives found the suspect at a bar in Franklin
Township and he was taken into custody without incident.
Detectives and Deputies then searched the suspects house and found the
gun described by the victim. The gun was found to be
a pellet gun, however was made to look like a .357
revolver. The suspect is currently being held in the Mercer
County Adult Detention Facility. Arrested was 62 year old
Silas Floyd King Jr of 6620 Bruce Road Lot 23 Celina, Ohio.
King is currently being held on charges of Aggravated Robbery (felony
of the 1stdegree) and Theft (Felony of the 5th degree). The
theft charge was enhanced due to the victims age. King is
being held on a $500,000.00 Bond.
