Three-vehicle
injury accident at US36 & SR 121
On December 31, 2014 at approximately 6:43 PM Darke County Deputies
along with New Madison Fire, Tri Village Rescue and Greenville Rescue
were dispatched to the intersection of US Route 36 W and SR 121
reference a three vehicle injury accident.
Preliminary investigation revealed a red 2005 Nissan driven by Ayman
Rahmen of Indianapolis, Indiana was traveling west on US Route 36 W.
Rahmen failed to stop at the intersection and traveled into the path of
a red 1996 Honda Accord driven by Jamie Younce of Greenville. This
caused the Honda Accord to spin into the southbound lane. The Honda
Accord was struck in the rear by a southbound silver 2013 Ford Fusion
driven by Anthony Lewis of Ansonia.
Rahmen was transported to Wayne Heathcare by Greenville Rescue with
minor injuries. Younce and her passneger Ryan Younce were transported
by Tri Village Recsue to Wayne Healthcare with minor injuies.
Rahmen was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign.
This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff's
Office.
