Suspected drug
arrest in Celina
Celina Police Chief Tom Wale and Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey report
the arrest of an individual, and suspected heroin and firearms
seized. On Tuesday January 21, the “HIT” (Heroin Interdiction
Team) comprised of members from the Celina Police Department and Mercer
County Sheriff’s Office served a warrant at 1014 Hemlock Street in
Celina. Arrested was 24 year old Steven Noggler who was staying
at the residence on an outstanding warrant for contempt of court.
After obtaining consent to search from the homeowner HIT members
recovered drug paraphernalia, a pill bottle containing 25 capsules with
suspected heroin residue inside, two handguns, and assorted ammunition.
The HIT team was formed to help combat the ongoing heroin problem in
Mercer County. The HIT is a collaborative effort between the two
Agencies.
