Mercer County Sheriff
Suspected drug use leads to assaultive behavior

Sheriff Jeff Grey reports that on March 6, 2015 at approximately 9:19am, the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office received several calls in regards to a disturbance at Grand Manor Trailer Court, 3601 State Route 703 in Jefferson Township.  The callers reported that a male was half-clothed, covered in blood, and was trying to fight with people.

When law enforcement arrived, the male, later identified as Dillan J. Spencer, age 20, of 3601 State Route 703, Lot #44, Celina, jumped on the hood of a deputy’s patrol vehicle.  When the deputy exited his vehicle, Mr. Spencer began to charge at him in a threatening and assaultive manner.  The deputy deployed his Taser and Mr. Spencer was brought under control and taken into custody.  Mr. Spencer was transported to the Coldwater Hospital by Celina Squad where he is undergoing treatment for injuries sustained prior to the arrival of law enforcement.

During the investigation, probable cause was found at the residence of Mr. Spencer leading to the application and issuance of a search warrant.  Suspected drugs and paraphernalia were located at the residence.  The matter will be forwarded to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office for filing of additional charges.  Misdemeanor charges of Persistent Disorderly Conduct, Aggravated Menacing, Criminal Mischief, and Resisting Arrest were filed in Celina Municipal Court.
