Pitbull mauls
owner, 2-year-old
Sheriff Jeff Grey reports his office is investigating a dog mauling
incident. Mercer County Central Dispatch received a 9-1-1 call on
November 16th at 3:45 PM from the resident at 4009 Lange Road, St.
Henry advising her dog was attacking her two year old
daughter. St. Henry Police Department was requested to
respond because deputies were not in the immediate area of the
call. The dog identified as a Pitbull breed was put down by the
responding St. Henry Officer after the dog went after and charged the
officer. The mother and 2 her year old daughter were transported to
Coldwater ER with severe injuries inflicted by the dog by the St. Henry
Rescue Squad. The incident remains under investigation, no other
information is being released at this time.
