Bomb threat at
Ansonia Schools
On October 7, 2015 at 10:29 A.M., Darke County deputies and
investigative division along with Ansonia Fire Department, Ansonia
Rescue and Rossburg Fire Department responded to a bomb threat received
at the Ansonia Elementary School. School officials reported they
received a phone call from a male using a mono tone voice advising he
was in the school and was going to kill himself and blow the place
up. School officials took the threat seriously and safely
evacuated all students to the football field away from the school.
Darke County deputies completed a thorough search of the entire
school. No persons, suspicious packages or devices were
found. School officials made the decision to continue classes for
the remainder of the school day.
Similar threats have been made recently across the Miami Valley.
This incident remains under investigation.
