This week’s CORN Newsletter can be found at: http://agcrops.osu.edu/newsletter/corn-newsletter/2015-08-0/full

On a local note, Greg Campbell and I have been checking soil temperatures locally this past week.  It is amazing what 70 and 80 degree temperatures can do for soil temperatures.

Greg’s latest readings (4 inches)

                                    AM      PM      Average

Fall tilled bare ground     52.7     63.5     58.1

No till with cover crop     52.7     62.0     57.35

My readings (2.5 inches)
Fall tilled bare ground     48.3     75.1     61.7

In This Issue:
1.     Corn and Soybean: What’s in Store for 2016?
2.     Warm Weather Hit in a Big Way This Last Week
3.     Announcement of Spring/Summer Field Day Dates
4.     Time to stock up on nozzles now! But do you know which one to buy?
