Child struck by
lawnmower
On April 12, 2016 at 4:41 PM Darke County Sheriffs Deputies, along with
Ansonia Rescue and Careflight, responded to an injury accident
involving a lawnmower in the 400 block of Winbigler Street. in the
Village of Ansonia.
Preliminary investigation reveals that Derrick Kolker (27), of Ansonia
Ohio, was mowing a lawn in the 400 block of Winbigler Street. Mr.
Kolker struck a 3 year old child that had run up behind the riding
lawnmower. The child was transported by Ansonia Rescue to the
Darke County Sheriff’s Office landing zone where he was transferred to
Dayton Children’s Hospital by Careflight. The child has non life
threatening injuries according to family members.
