Mercer County Sheriff
Two arrested on
drug charges
Sheriff Jeff Grey and Celina Chief Tom Wale announce drug arrests made
by HIT (Heroin Interdiction Team). Arrested were
Christopher Haynes, Age 23 from 3342 Oregon Road, Celina, and Sydney E.
Dicke, Age 20 from 211 South Franklin, New Bremen. Haynes was
arrested for Obstruction and Possession of Heroin. Dicke were arrested
for Possession Heroin.
On Saturday April 16, 2016 at 1:19 PM HIT conducted a traffic stop in
Celina in the area of Touvelle and Bruns Ave. During the stop
Dicke was acting suspicious and was observed trying to move something
under her clothes. Dicke eventually turned over a baggie that
contained several capsules that she had concealed internally. The
capsules were field tested, and tested positive for heroin.
The driver of the vehicle (Haynes) admitted the heroin belonged to him
and asked Dicke to conceal it. Haynes and Dicke were transported
to the Adult Detention Facility and held on $125,000.00 bond subject to
10%.
This traffic stop was a result of HIT surveillance and tips received by
the public. This investigation is ongoing, and will be forwarded
to the Mercer County Prosecutor for consideration of additional charges.
