While most would agree that a benefit of a whole herd estrus
synchronization and timed AI program is the opportunity to bring
outstanding new genetics into the herd, a couple years ago in this
publication I reported on an Ohio FFA Agriscience Fair project that
showed an additional benefit was it also “...gets all of the calves
born earlier in the calving season making them heavier at weaning.”
Cliff Lamb’s research supports that conclusion. This week Lamb shares
his insight into all the extended benefits of ES and TAI.
