Darke County Sheriff
Two vehicle accident on SR 49 & County Home Road

On August 2, 2017 at approximately 4:52PM, Darke County Deputies along with with Greenville Township Fire & Rescue responded to a two vehicle injury crash at the intersection of State Route 49 and County Home Road.

Preliminary investigation revealed a Black 1999 GMC Sonoma, driven by Richard D. Campbell 73, of Ansonia was traveling Northwest on State Route 49 and had slowed down to make a left turn onto County Home Road when he was rear-ended by a Black 1995 Chevy Camaro driven by Bradley E. Nunley 39, of Union City IN.  Mr. Nunley was not wearing a seat belt and transported to Wayne HealthCare for a head injury.  Campbell was treated and released at the scene. 

Mr. Nunley was cited for assured clear distance ahead.
