Rollover accident on SR 502

Greenville - On June 12, 2017 at approximately 9:47 p.m. Darke County Deputies, along with Liberty Township Fire and Union City Rescue were dispatched to the 2200 block of SR502 reference a one vehicle roll over accident.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2002 Buick Park Avenue, driven by Cathy Swafford (49) of Greenville, was eastbound on SR502. Swafford swerved to miss an object on the roadway and over corrected and lost control of her vehicle going off the right side of the road. Swafford's vehicle struck a concrete culvert causing the vehicle to overturn, going through a fence.

Swafford was treated at the scene by Union City Rescue and was transported by Care Flight to Miami Valley Hospital. Swafford's condition is unknown at this time.

This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff's Office.
