improvements to Darke County Roads and Bridges in 2017

An estimated $3,332,754 worth of improvements to Darke County Roads and
bridges is scheduled for 2017. Although we will received $310,000 less
in federal grant funds than in 2016, we plan to pave 3.5 more miles of
road, build one more new bridge, replace 75 percent more signs, and
paint twice the road miles compared to 2016. Non-local funds
anticipated are $400,000 in state funds (OPWC) to be used towards the
resurfacing of three roads, and $31,200 of federal funds for sign
replacements…
