Edison State Receives $2.5 Million Gift

Edison State Community College is proud to announce they are the recipients of a $2.5 million gift from the Robinson Fund. A check presentation will be held on Tuesday, May 23 at 9:00 a.m. outside of the West Hall entrance of the Piqua Campus. The public is invited to attend.

The funds will be used to build and create a new student career center and campus entry, aimed at the promotion and integration of students into a growing regional workforce. The new complex, yet to be named, will serve as a catalyst for students by helping to bridge the gap in the employment process.

"The state-of-the-art center will be a model for the future and promote a new mindset for building on the needs of today's students," said Edison State President Dr. Doreen Larson.

Building plans, which have been approved, include areas for career counseling and services, veteran's counseling services, access to Ohio Means Jobs, interview rooms, and an information desk. An official groundbreaking ceremony will be held in 2017.
