Hawk Earns OCCAC Weekly Honors
The Ohio Community College Athletic Association (OCCAC) has named
Edison State Community College sophomore Wendy Hawk (Washington HS) the
National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II
Women’s Softball Player of the Week for April 29-May 5.
Hawk picks up her first career OCCAC weekly honor after lifting the
Chargers to a 4-0 week. She cracked four extra-base hits, including a
cycle in Edison State’s 8-1 win over Owens in Game 1 of a doubleheader.
She joins Lexi Long (March 18) as ESCC recipients of this award in 2019.
Edison State’s softball team finished out the regular season with an
18-17 overall record.
