Helen M. (Berning) Fullenkamp

Helen M. (Berning) Fullenkamp, age 91, of Versailles, Ohio, passed away on Friday, April 08, 2011 at 1:49 AM at Wayne Healthcare in Greenville, Ohio.  She was born on January 12, 1920 in Shelby County, Ohio, to the late Frank & Josephine (Meyer) Berning.

    She was the owner and operator of Tom’s Place in Frenchtown, Ohio, from 1948-1961 and also worked at the Crystal Ball and Frenchtown Restaurant.  She was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church, St. Ann Sodality and Eagles Aux. in Versailles.  She was an avid bingo player.

    In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas B. Fullenkamp whom she married on July 2, 1941.

    She is survived by her sons and daughters in law, Frank & Karen Fullenkamp of Versailles and David & Ann Fullenkamp of Versailles; grandchildren, Ryan Fullenkamp, Bradley J. (Christina) Fullenkamp, Corinn (Kyle) Gehle, and Thomas Fullenkamp; great grandchildren, Shelby Fullenkamp, Bradley Fullenkamp Jr., Carter Fullenkamp, and Reese Fullenkamp; brother and sisters in law, Bernard & Irene Berning of Versailles; sisters and brothers in law, Cathryn Reynolds of Franklin, Ohio, Marie Huelsman of St. Henry, Ohio, Loretta & Eugene Link of Rossburg, Ohio, Anne & Art Hemmelgarn of Ft. Recovery, Veronica & Art Hermiller of Coldwater, Ohio, and Frances & Kenny Siefring of St. Henry, Ohio; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

    There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Monday, April 11, 2011 at 10:30 AM at St. Denis Catholic Church, 14 East Wood Street, Versailles, Ohio, with Rev. Fr. David Vincent celebrant.  Burial will follow in St. Valbert Cemetery, Versailles, Ohio.  Family will receive friends on Sunday, April 10, 2011 from 3-7 PM and Monday 9-10 AM prior to the Mass at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, Ohio.

    The St. Ann Sodality will conduct a prayer service held on Sunday at 6:45 PM at the funeral home.  It is the wishes of the family that memorial contributions be given to the Versailles Emergency Medical Services.
