Anita M. (Swank)
Brandt
Anita M. (Swank) Brandt, 36, of Slidell, Louisiana, and formerly of
Greenville, passed away February 13, 2011 at her residence in Slidell
after a long battle with cancer.
She was born September 21, 1974 in Greenville, daughter of Christine
(Connelley) Swank of Greenville, and the late Bruce D. Swank who
preceded her in death on January 24 of this year. She was also preceded
in death by a son, Derik Brandt.
Anita was a 1992 graduate of Greenville Senior High School. She had
worked for Northshore INCS in Slidell, LA.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Michael
Brandt; sons, Michael, Jr. and Justin; a brother, Bradley (Jennifer)
Swank of Tipp City; a nephew, Braden Swank; her best friends, Tammy
Mitchem and Christina Thompson; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, February 27, at the
Ft. Jefferson United Methodist Church with Pastor Doug Baker
officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church Sunday from 2 p.m. till
services start. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial
contributions be given to the State of the Heart Hospice.
