Gantt
Gloria J. (Hollinger) Gantt, age 65, of Painter Creek, Ohio, passed
away on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 5:25 AM at her residence.
She was born on May 24, 1945 in Piqua, Ohio to her father and step
mother, Elvin K. & Virginia Hollinger of Greenville, Ohio and her
late mother, Violet (Hendrickson) Hollinger.
Gloria sold Avon for 10 years and was also a
homemaker. She loved traveling, flowers, and spending time with
her grandchildren. She was a 1963 graduate of Bradford High
School.
In addition to her mother she is preceded in death
by her brothers in law, Bill Deeter and Bob Brumbaugh; and Father and
Mother in law, Murray & Bernice Gantt.
She is survived by her husband, Franklin Gantt of
Painter Creek, Ohio, whom she married on April 8, 1967; sons and
daughters in law, Douglas & Kristy Gantt of Laura, Ohio and Brian
& Cassie Gantt of Painter Creek, Ohio; grandchildren, Tyler Kanet,
Kyle Kanet, Maggie Gantt, Maureen, Madeline, and Murphy Gantt; brother
and sister in law, Dan & Shirley Hollinger of Ansonia, Ohio;
sister, Linda L. Deeter of Versailles, Ohio; brothers in law and
sisters in law, Jack & Bonnie Gantt, Herbert & Shirley Gantt,
Robert & Ginny Gantt, Dave Gantt, Bill & Jane Gantt, John
Gantt, Joan & John Clack, Miriam & Doug Minnich, Arlene &
Earl Manning, and Peggy Brumbaugh; step brothers and sisters in law,
Mike and Mary Dohme, Mark & Dawn Dohme, and Jeff & Tonya Dohme;
step sister, Joy Thompson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a service held on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at 10:30 AM
at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio, with Pastor Don Avore
officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery, Darke
County, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 8,
2011 from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
