William W. "Bill" Westfall

William W. “Bill” Westfall, age 83 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 9:40 P.M. Tuesday January 4, 2011 at Wayne Health Care, Greenville, Ohio.  Bill was born October 4, 1927 in Dayton, Ohio and the son of the late Edward Francis and Tillie (Muccie) Westfall.

Bill retired in 1991 from Corning Glass of Greenville and was a Veteran of WW II serving in the U.S. Army Air Force.  He was a member of the Greenville V.F.W., had coached little league baseball in the mid 60’s and a member of the Greenville Church of the Brethren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Patricia Ann (Dakin) Westfall January 22, 2007.  They were married July 15, 1950.  Also by his sisters Thelma F. Oler, Edwina Ann Rehmert and Caroline Elizabeth Studebaker.

He is survived by sons and daughter in law William E. & Barbara Westfall and Jerry L. Westfall all of Greenville.  Daughters and sons in law Dianne & Dennis Beutler and Sheila & Tim Harbison all of Greenville.  Grandchildren and spouses Sarah & Kyle Emery, Amanda & Kevin Martin, Dustin & Jayzell Beutler, Danae & Stephen Cox, Jennifer Westfall, Randall & Brenda Westfall.  Great grandchildren Kiersten Martin, Makayla Martin, Addison Martin, Amelia Emery, Hayley Penka, Kyleigh Cox and Hunter Cox.  Brother Raymond “Lefty” Westfall of Greenville.  Brothers in law Lester Rehmert of Greenville and Robert Oler of Phoenix, Arizona.  Also numerous nieces and nephews.

Private funeral services will be held in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with the Pastor Bill Miller officiating.  Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery.  There will be no public visitation.  Military services will be conducted by the Greenville Veteran’s Honor Guard.

It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given to Hospice of Darke County.
