B. Catherine Sharp
B. Catherine Sharp age 95 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away at 5:55 A.M.
on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Dayton Heart & Vascular Hospital at
Good Samaritan in Dayton. Catherine was born January 9, 1916 in Adams
Township, Darke County, to the late William & Mae (Routzong)
Michael.
Catherine was retired. She was a active member of
the First United Methodist Church in Greenville; United Methodist
Women’s Organization; Past President and life member of the Greenville
V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary Post #7262; and a former member of the Eastern
Star.
In addition to her parents, Catherine is also
preceded in death by her brothers, Lowell Michael, Dale Michael, Joyce
Michael and William Michael Jr.; and sisters, Mabel Shaffer and Ruth
Rhoades.
Catherine is survived by her husband of 75 years, R.
Eugene Sharp, whom she married July 3, 1936; and numerous nieces and
nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on
Saturday, July 9, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church 202 West
Fourth Street Greenville, with Rev. Joe Payne officiating. Burial will
follow in Greenville Cemetery (new section). The family will receive
friends of Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home
in Greenville and Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the church.
