James D. “Jim” Fasnacht

James D. “Jim” Fasnacht, age 67, Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2011 in Snow Shoe, Pennsylvania.  He was born on June 27, 1943 in Darke County, Ohio, to the late Dale & Maxine (Brehm) Fasnacht.

Jim worked for A & L Smith Trucking in Versailles, Ohio, as a truck driver for 15 years.  He was a member of the Eagles and Moose in Greenville.  He loved riding his motorcycle and tractor pulls.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his infant son.

He is survived by his children, Brad (Debbie) Fasnacht of Indiana, Sherry (Jerry) Roberts of Indiana, Jamie Fasnacht of Indiana, and Cheryl Stewart of Sidney, Ohio; 11 grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren; brother and sister in law, Robert & Carol Fasnacht of Greenville, Ohio; sister and brother in law, Linda & Jon Wells of Arizona; 4 nephews; 3 nieces; Aunt, Norma Shively of Arcanum, Ohio; uncle, Byron Brehm of Arcanum, Ohio; as well as numerous cousins.

There will be a memorial service held on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Ft. Jefferson United Methodist Church, 3856 Church Street, Ft. Jefferson, Ohio, with Pastor Doug Baker officiating.  Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.  Family will receive friends from 10-11 on Saturday at the church.  Arrangements are under the direction of Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville.

It is the wishes of the family that memorial contributions be given to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
