Mary Kathryn Sears
Mary Kathryn Sears, age 92, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on
Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 2:30 PM at the Brethren Retirement Community,
Greenville, Ohio. She was born on October 12, 1918 in Darke
County, Ohio, to the late Fred C. & Minnie M. (Riggs) Schafer.
She was a housewife and worked at the Bootery in Greenville. She was a
member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Greenville, Ohio, where she was a
member of the Altar Guild. She was also a member of a Gardening
Club and Grandmother club in Greenville.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband,
Clifford Louis Sears whom she married on September 9, 1936; grandson,
Bryan Appleman; son in law, Donald Appleman; and a brother, William
Schafer.
She is survived by her daughter, Joan Appleman of Cordova, TN;
grandson, David K & Christy Appleman; great grandchildren, Chelsie
& Mallory McClain.
There will be a service held on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at 3:00 PM at
Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Burial will follow
in the Greenville Cemetery, Greenville, Ohio. Family will receive
friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family would like to express there deepest gratitude to Jerry &
Helen Wright and Carolyn & Kenny Anderson for there care of
Mary.
