Floyd Edward Arnold

Mr. Floyd Edward Arnold age 91 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday May 17, 2011 at 11:08 PM at Heartland of Greenville.  He was born February 26, 1920 in Bellefontaine, Indiana, the son of the late John D. & Minnie A. (Huey) Arnold.  He retired from Hamilton Motors where he worked as a salesman; he also worked for Sears Roebuck as a salesman.  He was Technician 5th class in the United States Army serving during World War II.

    He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, American Legion, V.F.W., Lifetime member of the D.A.V., Elks Lodge, & the 40 & 8 Club.

    He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers:  Glen, Eldon, Donald, & Forrest Arnold; sisters:  Alma Teeters, Treva Hutchinson, Irene Warsler, Edith Turner Halley, & Vergie Brown.

    He is survived by his wife:  Marjorie Evelyn (Huffer) Arnold of Greenville whom he married December 24, 1940; daughters & sons in law:  Karen & Mike Karn of Brookville, Ohio, Linda & Joe Wolford of Greenville, Ohio, Cheryl & Jim Hardeman of The Villages, Florida, Lisa & Steve Headley of Greenville, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brother:  Dorwin Arnold of New Albany, Indiana; & numerous nieces & nephews.

    Services will be held on Saturday May 21, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church 114 East Fourth Street, Greenville, Ohio with Rev. Dr. John Person officiating.  Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday May 20, 2011 at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio and 1 hour prior to services on Saturday at the church.  Veteran’s services will be conducted by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard on Friday May 20, 2011 at 8:00 PM at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, American Lung Association, or the Salvation Army.
