Lloyd L. “Barney” Barnhardt

Lloyd L. “Barney” Barnhardt, age 60 of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Tuesday October 25, 2011 at 9:10 AM at his residence.  He was born July 30, 1951 in Darke County, Ohio the son of the late Wayne E. & Viola (Croyle) Barnhardt.  He was a veteran serving in the Untied States Army. 

He was a police officer serving as Chief in Versailles, & as an officer in Arcanum, he was also a firefighter for Greenville Fire Department and Rossburg Fire department; he was also a Paramedic; an Orderly for Wayne Healthcare and the Brethren Retirement Community.  He also worked for Brockman & Boeckman Funeral Home in Fort Recovery, Ohio.

He was a member of Fort Jefferson United Methodist Church, Versailles Masonic Lodge, Celina Eagles, & the American Legion; he was formerly a member of the Greenville Moose Lodge.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife:  Debbie (Bailey) Barnhardt of Greenville; son & daughter in law:  Christopher & Kim Barnhardt of Sylvania, Ohio; daughter & son in law:  Nicole & Mariano Hernandez of Troy, Ohio; step children:  Christi Haag of Greenville, & Brian Haag of Greenville; step grandchildren:  Brianna Wogerman, & Trey Wogerman of Greenville; brother & sister in law:  Michael & Jill Barnhardt of Mansfield, Mass.; sisters & brothers in law:  Saundra Barnhardt of Greenville, Connie & Ted Wyan of Crittenden, Kentucky, Janet & Bill Wolfe of Greenville; numerous nieces & nephews.

Services will be held on Friday October 28, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Rev. Doug Baker & Pastor Todd Reish officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery.  Family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday October 27, 2011 at the funeral home.  Veteran’s graveside services will be conducted by the Greenville Veterans honor guard.  Memorial contributions may be given to State of the Heart Hospice, Fort Jefferson United Methodist Church, or to the Donor’s choice.
