Nicodemus
Shirley Ertel Nicodemus, age 50, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on
Sunday, September 11, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton,
Ohio. She was born on September 10, 1961 in Union City, Indiana,
to the late Allen & Ruth (Stump) Ralston.
Shirley worked as a Cashier at Ulrich in Piqua and as a housekeeper at
the Red Carpet Inn in Piqua.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her first
husband, Ron Bowers and sister, Ruth Ann Ralston.
She is survived by her husband, Jeff Nicodemus whom she married on
September 1, 2011; sons, Paul Ertel of Piqua, Ohio, Robby Ertel of
Troy, Ohio, and Gordon Bowers of Troy, Ohio; daughters, Amanda Ertel of
Lima, Ohio and Jessica Hutton of Piqua, Ohio; 7 grandchildren; brother,
Larry Ralston of Mansfield, Ohio; sisters, Georgia Barnham of Garland,
Australia, Pam Himes of Montpelier, Indiana, and Mary Mizer of
Covington, Ohio; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a memorial service held on Friday, September 16, 2011 at
10:30 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio, with Pastor
Randy Satchwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Snell
Cemetery, Darke County, Ohio. Family will receive friends one
hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
