Lester H. Klosterman

Lester H. Klosterman, age 99, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2012 at 10:55 PM at Wayne HealthCare in Greenville, Ohio.  He was born on December 25, 1912 in Mercer County, Ohio, to the late Frank & Adelaide Klosterman.

He is survived by his wife, Leatrice (Striegel) Klosterman of Greenville, Ohio, whom he married on February 12, 1944; daughters and sons in law, Sharon L. & Philip Nyhuis of Buffalo, New York, Carol J. & Frank Tantum of Homer Glen, Illinois, Elizabeth A. & Donald Saintignon of Greenville, Janice M. & Scott Mills of Greenville, and Robert J. & Connie Klosterman of Celina, Ohio; grandchildren, Alexis L. Boling, Gregory Griffin, Melissa Budner, Elizabeth Fazio, Matthew A. Saintignon, Kristen E. Woodbury, Kara E. Warren, Stephen Mills, Ann Mills, Amy Green, Julie Klosterman, and Jamie Klosterman; 16 great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his siblings, Ivo Klosterman, Elmer Klosterman, Eileen Herman, Wiro Klosterman, and Rita Lucas.

Lester was the manager for United Green Company in Rossburg, Ohio.  He was a member of the United States Army Air Corps serving in World War II.  He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and enjoyed airplanes, fishing, riding motorcycles and playing euchre.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 233 W. 3rd St., Greenville, Ohio, with Rev. Fr. John White celebrant.  Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Greenville, Ohio.  Family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 from 5-8 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio.  There will be a Graveside Military Service conducted by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard.
